True Colours
Clinching jaws, wrinkled forehead
Anger and sadness mingled in moist eyes
Bitterness pushed me forward
Standing at the top of a hill
I inhaled power
‘Sooner of later, it has to end
We can’t go on like this!’
But, those wandering thoughts and eager eyes
Downward slope with green grass
Smiling tulips yellow and red
Deep blue lake, surrounded by lush green
Light blue sky, with tints of pink and peach
Void of colours, how dull it would all be!
M life, a complete picture on its own
His presence, the colours in it
We had become inseparable!
Longing to embrace him I returned home
All was forgiven and forgotten
